Fight breaks out in Kozhikode airport; one CISF official dies
An ugly fight broke out at the Kozhikode airport late Wednesday leading to the death of a CISF official and diversion of all flights.

According to a CISF official, the clash happened when workers from the fire department at the airport tried to enter its premises without letting themselves be frisked.
"In the heated argument that ensued, one of the workers snatched a gun from the security official's holster and shot," he told ET.
"The police are now here and trying to control the situation," Anup JR, station manager at the airport told ET.
Troubles between CISF officials and security staff isn't unheard of but a clash of these proportions is rare. In 2012, a tussle between officials of the customs department and CISF at the Mumbai airport led to its two main gates being unattended for three hours.
