‘Fight between truth and power’: Rahul Gandhi at Congress rally against 'vote chori'
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has accused the BJP and RSS of undermining democratic processes. He alleged 'vote chori' and misuse of power at a rally in Delhi. Gandhi stated the fight is between truth and untruth. He also targeted the Election Comm...

Addressing a Congress rally against alleged “vote theft” at Delhi’s Ramlila Grounds, Gandhi said the BJP enjoys “satta” (power) and misuses it to influence elections. He alleged that voters were paid ₹10,000 during the polls, but claimed the Election Commission failed to take action. “The Election Commission is not the EC of Modi; it is the EC of the country,” he said.
Gandhi further alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had brought in a new law granting immunity to election commissioners, effectively shielding them from accountability. “We will change this law and act against election commissioners,” he asserted, adding that institutions were being systematically weakened.
Taking aim at the RSS, Gandhi referred to recent remarks by its chief, arguing that the RSS-BJP ideology places power above truth. “Our ideology, the ideology of India and of every religion, says truth is supreme,” he said.
Framing the political contest as a battle between truth and untruth, Gandhi said the Congress would stand with “satya” and non-violence to defeat Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. “It may take time, but truth will ultimately win,” he said.
