No trace of 15 miners who were trapped near Nangalbibra area of South Garo Hills district in Meghalaya.

GUWAHATI: No trace of 15 miners who were trapped near Nangalbibra area of South Garo Hills district in Meghalaya.

Out of 30 miners, 15 miners managed to come out. The incident took place on Friday last.The state government is looking to regulate the rat-hole mining sector.

The new mining policy is in the final stages of preparation. These mines are termed as the 'rat mines' for its crude holes dug into the hills which are narrow in diameter.
