Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday alluded to US President Joe Biden's reported praise for Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Quad Summit, saying "it generates a feeling of pride".

"When even (Joe) Biden says that 'Modiji, I want your autograph, you are so popular in America', it feels good as an Indian...," he said at the national conference of the entire Modi community (Samast Modi Samaj Rashtriya Mahasammelan) in Ahmedabad.

He lauded the leaders of the Rathore, Teli, Modi and Sahu communities for their efforts to bring the community together. Shah maintained that the coming together of the Teli or Modi community, which would spread across the country in various factions, is a good thing for the community on the one hand and for the country on the other.
