Farm laws to help Indian produce reach global markets: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Indian agriculture produce need to reach global markets, justifying the rationale behind bringing in the three contentious farm bills.

He said it is the government’s efforts to help Assam farmers reach out to the international market. “For this, laws related to agriculture have been reformed,” Modi said while addressing a rally at Silapathar in Dhemaji of Assam, after dedicating to the nation some infrastructure projects and laying the foundation of an engineering college totally worth Rs 3,000 crore.
Narrating the achievements of his government, he said, “Be it gas connection, electricity connection, fertiliser production, the poor of the country and small farmers were hit the most due to its shortage. ” He said those who ruled the country for decades had considered Dispur too far from Delhi. Assam stood to lose a lot due to this thinking. “But now, Delhi is not far from you. Delhi is standing at your door,” he said.
