Delivery boy tests positive for Covid-19 in south Delhi, families that ordered put in quarantine
Zomato confirmed this development, saying the orders were delivered after being placed via the Zomato app. Co-workers of the rider have all tested negative and the outlet where he worked has suspended operations.

The online food ordering app said all customers have been contacted, and the restaurant has been shut, effective immediately.
"We have been made aware that a restaurant's employee, who has been recently tested positive for Covid-19, had delivered food in the past to a few customers in the Malviya Nagar area in Delhi. All these customers have been contacted by the govt authorities," Zomato wrote in a post on microblogging website Twitter. The post further said that all co-workers of the said rider have tested negative.

Customers on social media asked Zomato to reveal the name of the restaurant and questioned its safety protocols with respect to delivery and overall safety standards.
"Couple of days before I ordered from Zomato. Valet wasn't wearing a mask and gloves. When asked why so, he said Zomato don’t provide," said a customer on Twitter.
Zomato had earlier said that it offers Covid-19 insurance to its delivery partners. Zomato’s Delivery Partner Insurance Plan, which earlier covered only hospitalization, now also covers lost earnings, in case a delivery partner gets infected by Covid-19.
