Fake currency deposited in RBI branch, case registered


Jaipur, Feb 17 (PTI) Police have booked unknown persons for depositing fake currency notes having face value of Rs 11,000 in exchange to old currency at a branch of Reserve Bank of India here.

Manager of the RBI branch filed the complaint yesterday with Gandhi Nagar police station against unknown persons for exchanging fake notes between July 1 to December 31 last year, police said.

An FIR was registered under relevant sections of IPC and the matter is under investigation, police said.
