Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis said that he has spoken to OBC leader and NCP minister Chhagan Bhujbal, who is reportedly displeased with the state government conceding to Maratha leader Jarange Patil's demand to provide Kunbi status under the OBC category to eligible Marathas. A miffed Bhujbal did not attend the weekly Cabinet meeting on Wednesday to show his anger towards the state government.

"I have spoken to OBC leaders, I have also spoken to Chhagan Bhujbal. He had not left the Cabinet meeting (in a huff). I have assured him that the OBC community would not be impacted due to this. We will clear his doubts," Fadnavis said. Bhujbal has been holding talks with OBC leaders and has publicly opposed the Government Resolution on Maratha quota.
