JAIPUR: Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today directed officials of Home department to expedite investigation in pending cases and strengthen intelligence network to provide a better policing in the state.

Discussing a two-month action plan of the department, Raje asked the officials to improve police patrolling and directed them to set up a special team to investigate pending cases.

She also expressed concern over alleged illegal mining in the state and asked the officials to take appropriate step to check the menace.

ACS (Home) Sunil Arora told reporters after the meeting that the CM discussed in detail about the department's two month planning and issued necessary directions for improvement in the functioning of police.

CM laid emphasis on strengthening intelligence network, forensic science laboratory and other things which are required for a better policing and investigation.
