Exodus in Congress in Tripura, MLAs join TMC
Two MLAs Pranjit Sigha Roy and Dilip Sarkar were not present and were not seen even during the meeting with TMC all India Vice President Mukul Roy.

The MLAs had submitted signed paper to the Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Ramendra Chandra Debnath.
However while presenting the only four MLAs including Sudip Roy Barman, Asish Kumar Saha, Biswa Bandhu Sen and Diba Chandra Hwrhankal were present.

Pradesh Congress president, Birajit Sinha expelled Congress MLA Biswa Bandhu Sen for six years on grounds anti party activities.
On Monday Congress legislator Jitendra Sarkar resigned from the Tripura assembly and decided to rejoin the ruling CPI-M. Sarkar a former speaker of the Tripura assembly joined the Congress in 2010.
In 60 member assembly Congress had 10 MLAs. Trouble started in the opposition party after the grand old party entered into alliance with Left Front in the recently held assembly polls in West Bengal.
Congress party leaders in Tripura were unhappy with the party leadership’s decision for congress and Left Front are rival in Tripura. Soon after winning the West Bengal elections, TMC has made known that it is serious about 2018 polls in Tripura.
Roy recently declared,” Our leader Mamata Banerjee is serious about Tripura and in the coming assembly election; we want to gift the people of Tripura freedom from the misrule of Left Front.”
