Excess if any in name of Goraksha, will be dealt with firmly: Amit Shah

KOLKATA: BJP national president Amit Shah said that cases of cow vigilantism would be dealt strictly accoridng to the law. If there was any excess anywhere in name of Goraksa, arrests would follow and law would take its own course. However , he didn't agree that Gorakshaks were bringing any disrepute to the party.

Reacting to the issues of cow-slaughter ban in Bengal, Shah has said cow-slaughter ban is mentioned in the preamble of the Constitution. " If our government comes here in Bengal, it would decide on cow -slaughter. But it is mentioned in the preamble of the Constitution," said Shah.

Asked about communal tension increased in Bengal, BJP president felt that it was largely due to the policies of appeasement on the Musims by the MamaTA Banerjee government. Appeasement, according to Shah has created a volatile communal situation in Bengal.
