Ex-AIIMS CVO Sanjiv Chaturvedi moves Central Administrative Tribunal against director
New Delhi: Indian Forest Officer Sanjiv Chaturvedi— the whistle-blower who was removed from the post of chief vigilance officer (CVO) at All-India Institute of Medical Sciences ( AIIMS)—has moved the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) seeking perjury proceedings against the director of the institute.

Chaturvedi, a Magsaysay awardee, has alleged that AIIMS director MC Misra lied under oath in the Tribunal. Chaturvedi had moved the Tribunal alleging that the Narendra Modi government, "acting in an arbitrary and malafide manner”, had rendered him "jobless”. He had contended that the work mentioned in his appointment letter, dated June 23, 2011, has not been allocated to him till date.

In response to the tribunal’s notice, the director and the Institute had rebutted the accusations, saying that the June 23, 2011 order regarding work allocation has been implemented in "letter and spirit”. Chaturvedi dubbed the claim as a "blatant false”.
