ET scribe gets J&K govt award

ET’s Srinagar correspondent Hussain selected for literature awards.

ET���s Srinagar correspondent Masood Hussain, historian Fida Mohammad Khan Hussnain and Dogri writer Ved Kumari Ghai are among 17 people who will receive Jammu and Kashmir government award for contribution in the fields of literature, art, journalism, sports and public services.

Professor Lalit Magotra and Sadiq Ali Sadiq have been selected for literature in Dogri and Balti languages, respectively.

Sumir Kaul, Nazir Masoodi and photo journalist Ashok Sodhi (posthumously ) have also been awarded for excellence in journalism.
The awards for contribution in journalism The other award winners are Pran Kishre (Radio artist), Raj Begum (Kashmiri singer) and Ghulam Mohammad (Dogri). Four sports persons have also been selected for the award.
