Ensure continuous power supply in Dehradun:Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat to officials
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat asked power department officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the state capital

Ensuring proper drinking water and power supply to people is the state government's topmost priority, he said, and warned of stern action in case of any negligence on part of the officials in this regard.
Line shifting work had severely affected power supply in the state capital over the past few days adding to the woes of residents already reeling under severe heat.
The chief minister said line shifting work was necessary but the timing chosen for the exercise was wrong.
Power secretary Umakant Pawar said line shifting work has been postponed.
He also said power generation in May this year has been more in comparison to previous years but the line shifting work had affected supply.
Pawar told the chief minister that if Uttar Pradesh agrees to release more water into Ramganga, additional power could be produced.
The chief minister said he will take up the matter with his Uttar Pradesh counterpart.
