Enough of trumpeting of surgical strikes: Sharad Pawar to Govt

Nationalist Congress party Chief Sharad Pawar on Thursday slammed the Modi government for tom tomming the ‘surgical strikes’ done in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Pawar on Thursday said that when the Congress government was in power they had also conducted surgical strikes in Pok but also in other countries but had never declared it.

“When Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister there were four such attacks like the surgical strikes in Pok, however we never went to town with it. One of the operation was also done through Nagaland.”said Pawar hinting that India did such strikes in other countries besides Pakistan.

The NCP chief said, “There is a different situation in the country’s border. The Uri attack is a wound on our country. It was an infuriating attack that needed to be answered. Our commandos went and attacked the launching pads. We supported the move but feel bad about the tom tomming the government is doing about the strikes.
