Enforcement Directorate: Final supplementary charge sheet filed against Rose Valley

KOLKATA: The Enforcement Directorate has submitted its final supplementary charge sheet in the Rose Valley debenture case. The charge sheet has been filed today in connection with Rose Valley group raising around 12 crore by issuing debentures to investors violating the norms of SEBI.

The sources added that the case was registered based on the complaint filed by SEBI against Rose Valley. However, investigation revealed that the amount of money raised from the market issuing illegal debentures was much higher than the amount mentioned in the complaint.

The charge sheet included Amit Banerjee, head of the agent network of the Rose valley group. The 80 page charge sheet has 600 pages of documents to support the content.

The first chargesheet was filed before the city sessions court in April under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering. Rose Valley chairman Gautam Kundu’s name was mentioned as the main conspirator in the charge sheet.
