Anil Yadav was shot dead in Hanumant colony of the city by two motorcycle borne miscreants when he was returning home on foot after work on Monday.

DEHRADUN: A 35-year-old man working at Ramdev's Patanjali Yogpeeth Trust was allegedly shot dead by unidentified men outside his home in Kankhal area of Haridwar, police said today.

Anil Yadav was shot dead in Hanumant colony of the city by two motorcycle borne miscreants when he was returning home on foot after work on Monday, Kankhal police station SHO said.

Police and passersby rushed Yadav to the hospital where he was declared dead, he said.

Yadav who hailed from Ambedkar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh worked as senior manager at Patanjali Food and Herbal Park, a firm run by the yogpeeth.

A search is on to nab the culprits, police added.
