Elvis Presley memorabilia recovered in Scotland

A collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia has been uncovered during a police raid in Scotland.

WASHINGTON: A collection of Elvis Presley memorabilia has been uncovered during a police raid in Scotland.

A gold record and a framed signed picture of Presley were found at a house search by cops in Edinburgh.

Amongst the other items unearthed was a framed scrap of paper, featuring the lyrics to the landmark hit "American Pie", seemingly written by Don McLean.

Lothian and Borders Police say they believe the items could be stolen and genuine, making an appeal to the owners to come forward.

"The value of the items is not known, but they look genuine and if they have been stolen then we hope that the original owner will recognise them and contact us," said a spokesman for the police.
