Elections 2014 Results: SAD leading in 3 seats, Congress in 1 in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal is leading in three Lok Sabha seats while Congress leader and Union Minister Preneet Kaur is leading in her bastion Patiala in Punjab, according to initial trends.

Sitting MP Sher Singh Ghubaya from Ferozepur, veteran Akali leader Ranjeet Singh Brahmpura from Khadoor Sahib and Pawan Kumar Teenu from Jalandhar (reserve) are leading over their Congress rivals, an election office spokesman said.

Teenu is sitting MLA of SAD. Kaur is leading in Patiala over Deepinder Dhillon of SAD. There are 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab. SAD is an ally of BJP-led NDA.
