"The results of the Modi wave are for everyone to see. I was hopeful that we would lead by a big margin and it is happening. Modi ji is coming tomorrow, we will have big celebrations with him," he told reporters.
"This is clearly his (Modi) victory. I may have won from the seat but people have voted for him and for their hopes for a better country," he added.

According to BJP worker and Verma's brother Sidharth Singh, "People in this constituency wanted a change just like the rest of the country and that is reflected in the score card. We are happy because the good days are here."
While the BJP's both national and Delhi office bore festive mood with party workers flocking there to celebrate their victory, the scenario at counting centres was no different.
Supporters were seen outside the counting centres since morning anxiously waiting for the much touted 'Modi wave' to be stamped by the official number of the votes.
Ridhima Singh, a BJP supporter who was part of the party's women brigade celebrating the victory outside one of the counting centres said, "It is not the victory of BJP, Modi or Parvesh ji, it is the victory of the people, of the country."
G S Kohli a senior member of BJP who have been campaigning for Verma said, "We have long been waiting for this day. It is the time for celebrations, with ladoo, nagara and gulal, we will make this day memorable."
