Elections 2014: Four women candidates of BJP win in Gujarat
In BJP's tally of 26 seats in Modi's Gujarat, four MPs are women including Darshana Jardosh, Bharati Shiyal, Poonam Maadam and Jayashree Patel.

BJP has won all 26 seats in Gujarat with Congress drawing a blank. Jardosh won from Surat with a margin of more than 5.33 lakh votes over her Congress rival Naishadh Desai. While Jardosh polled 7.18 lakh votes, Desai got 1.85 lakh votes.
Shiyal trounced Congress nominee Pravin Rathod by 2.95 lakh votes in Bhavnagar seat. She polled 5.49 lakh votes while Rathod's score was 2.54 lakh votes. Maadam made her uncle and two-time Congress MP Vikram Madaam bite the dust in Jamnagar seat by a margin of over 1.75 lakh votes. While Poonam secured 4.84 lakh votes, Vikram managed 3.09 lakh votes.
In Mehsana, Patel tamed Jivabhai Patel of Congress with a margin of 2.08 lakh votes. She polled more than 5.80 lakh votes while her rival got 3.71 lakh votes. Among women candidates of other parties who lost the battle include Reva Chaudhari (CPI) from Bardoli, Geeta Jadeja (BSP) from Bhavnagar, Vandana Patel (AAP) from Mehsana, Minaxi Parmar (BSP) from Surendranagar and Sonal Kelogg (Voters Party) from Navsari.
The women nominees who contested as Independent and bite the dust are Nirupa Madhu from Banaskantha, Indu Kumari from Dahod, Dipika Sutariya from Gandhinagar, Hansa Suthar from Jamnagar, and Lata Dwivedi from Navsari.
