Election Results 2014: We will come back under Rahul Gandhi's leadership again, says Congress
RANCHI: The Congress in Jharkhand today pledged that it would come back under the leadership of AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi again.

"We lost the elections badly. But we will come back stronger under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, who has clear visions and programmes...a deep introspection is needed following the bad result as 17 ministers in Manmohan Singh government lost in Uttar Pradesh alone," PCC General Secretary Alok Dubey observed.

The Congress, which had only one seat in the 15th Lok Sabha, drew blank this time with sitting MP Subodh Kant Sahay even losing massively to BJP's Ram Tahal Choudhary from Ranchi.

"The elections have given a significant opening after a long time in the country, giving a clear mandate to one party. The previous UPA governments had always been under pressure from allies in important decision makings," Dubey said.

"But we will wait and see how Narendra Modi, who sold dreams, will be able to fulfill them," he added.

With a pre-poll alliance stitched with JMM (four seats) and RJD (one Seat), the Congress fought nine seats and drew a blank.
