Election Results 2014: Anant Gadgil seeks meeting for introspecting on Congress debacle in Maharashtra
Maha Cong spokesperson Anant Gadgil demanded that a brainstorming session be convened immediately to discuss disastrous performance of the party in LS polls in the state.

Gadgil, who is also a member of AICC media panel, said he has written to the Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and state Congress chief Manikrao Thakare, seeking a "chintan bhaitak" (brainstorming session) of office-bearers and senior leaders in view of the Lok Sabha results and the forthcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra.
In its worst-ever performance, Congress won only two seats out of the 27 it contested in the state. Its candidates have lost by the margins exceeding one lakh.
Introspection was required on the failure of strategy, planning and lack of communication during the campaign in the state, Gadgil said.
"There is very little time to recover the lost ground as Assembly polls are just three months away," he said.
