Election Results 2012: People's verdict is supreme, says Hooda on Punjab poll results
CHANDIGARH: With SAD-BJP retaining power in Punjab, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said people's verdict is supreme and has to be respected.

"This is democracy...we welcome what people (of Punjab) have decided (voting SAD-BJP back). People's verdict is supreme," he told reporters here when asked to comment on the Punjab election result.

Hooda had earlier exuded confidence that Congress would form the government in Punjab.

When asked whether people of Uttar Pradesh have rejected Congress despite Rahul Gandhi's extensive poll campaign, Hooda said the AICC general secretary had build up a positive atmosphere in the state for the party during his campaign.

"But you need people at the ground level who can sustain that momentum," he said.
