Election Commission issues notice to Sasikala

NEW DELHI: The Election Commission has on Friday issued a notice to V K Sasikala on petitions challenging her nomination as interim General Secretary of the AIDMK. 12 Members of Parliament led by Rajya Sabha MP V Maitreyan from the AIDMK had yesterday approached the EC with petitions challenging Sasikala’s nomination. In a notice issued to V K Sasikala, the EC has asked her to respond to file petitions by 28th February, 2017 failing which the EC will take action it deems appropriate.
