Election Commission arrives to review poll preparedness in Assam

During the three-day long programme they will review the poll preparedness for upcoming assembly election in the State. The Election Commission of India today held a discussion with Nitin Khade, CEO, Assam and the Police Nodal Officer.

GUWAHATI: Chief Election Commissioner of India Sunil Arora along with Election Commissioners of India Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar arrived at Guwahati.

During the three-day long programme they will review the poll preparedness for upcoming assembly election in the State.

The Election Commission of India today held a discussion with Nitin Khade, CEO, Assam and the Police Nodal Officer.


The Election Commission will hold meetings with political parties, election-related regulatory agencies, District Election Officers and SP, Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, Director General of Police (DGP) and other senior officials during this visit.

Assam is likely to go to assembly polls in April this year.
