Elaborate arrangements to be made for Narendra Modi's Varansi visit

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan today directed officials to make elaborate arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to his constituency Varanasi on December 25.

Holding a review meeting through video-conferencing, Ranjan asked officials to ensure continuous electricity supply and cleanliness of the routes on the day, besides timely issuance of passes to those attending the programme.

He said UP Health Minister Ahmad Hasan has been nominated by the state government to welcome and see off the PM.
