Eight injured in Cuttack bomb explosion

Eight people were injured when two crude bombs exploded in quick succession in a shop in Sikharpur area of Cuttack city, police said today.

BHUBANESWAR: Eight people were injured when two crude bombs exploded in quick succession in a shop in Sikharpur area of Cuttack city, police said today.

The country-made bombs went off in a mobile voucher shop last night injuring eight persons, including the shop owner, sources said.

The injured were admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Investigation is on to ascertain whether the bombs were stored inside the shop, said officials.
