KOLKATA: The Enforcement Directorate today issued summons to Trinamool leaders Sovan Chatterjee, Sultan Ahmed and Iqbal Ahmed to appear before it in the next seven days.

"Today summons have been issued to Sovan Chatterjee, Sultan and Iqbal Ahmed for appearing before the directorate in the next seven days," an ED official told PTI.

Sovan Chatterjee, Trinamool MLA and Mayor of Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), along with Sultan Ahmed, TMC MP and Iqbal Ahmed, MLA from the same party and Deputy Mayor of KMC were shown in the Narada tapes as allegedly accepting cash.

Iqbal Ahmed and Sultan Ahmed were already interrogated by the CBI in the case.
