ED notice for TMC General Secetary Shankudeb Panda

KOLKATA: Officials of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday visited Trinamool Congress Bhavan at Topsia to see one of the general secretaries of the party Shankudeb Panda who reportedly used to receive Rs 60,000 per month from the Saradha Group. The ED team had gone to hand over a notice to Panda asking him to appear before them on December 30.

Since Panda was not available at the party headquarters, the ED officials faxed a message asking the ruling party leader to appear before them on December 30 to explain why he used to get money from the tainted group. Panda was the president of Trinamool Congress Chhatra Parishad, students wing of the party and Mamata had removed him from the post a few months back.
