The ED has filed a charge sheet against two senior leaders of CPI(M) - K Radhakrishnan, an MP and AC Moideen, an MLA - and its Thrissur District Committee for their alleged involvement in the Karuvannur Co-operative Bank case, said people in the know.

The ED named them in its second prosecution complaint (equivalent to a charge sheet) filed on Monday against 28 individuals and entities. ET was the first to report on April 1, 2024, that ED shared findings of its money laundering probe allegedly involving CPI(M) and its leaders with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) and ECI.
