Economic advisor to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy resigns

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Shafi Mather, Economic Advisor to Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, has resinged due to personal reasons.

He tendered his resingation yesterday to Chandy, who accepted it, CM's office sources said here today.

The resignation follows after his brohter and his sister-in law lodged a complaint with Chief Minister that Shafi Mather was harassing him using his official powers.

Mather, a laywer and public analysit, was appointed as Economic Advisor to Kerala Chief Minister on May 2012.
