New Delhi: AAP Delhi unit chief Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday alleged that the Election Commission has not shared with political parties the names, phone numbers and addresses of voters whose names were deleted from electoral rolls, despite repeated requests.

In a post on X, Bharadwaj said the party had made the request both in writing and during meetings with election officials, and claimed that the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) had also assured them that the details would be shared.

There was, however, no immediate reaction available by Election Commission of India .

"Despite this, the list was not shared," he alleged, adding that political parties were therefore unable to verify whether the deletions were genuine or involved any irregularities.

Bharadwaj said the party was not inclined to approach the courts, citing the ongoing legal cases in Bihar and West Bengal.

He further said that any change in government would have to come through "the streets and the Constitution".

In percentage terms, Tughlakabad has the highest percentage of deletions at 47.85, followed by Okhla at 45.33, Kasturba Nagar at 44.03, and Badarpur at 42.67.
