EC notice to Delhi Health Minister for "violation" of code of conduct
The Delhi Election Commission has slapped a notice on Health Minister A K Walia for alleged violation of the model code of conduct.

In its notice issued to Walia yesterday, the Election Commission said it has received complaints of violation of the code of conduct by him in his Laxminagar assembly constituency. Delhi goes to poll on December 4.
The Commission has sought an explanation from Walia, a senior Congress leader, within 24 hours and cautioned him of legal action if he fails to do so.
The EC has been issuing notices to politicians in the last few days after the model code of conduct came into effect following announcement of date for assembly election on October 4.
The Commission has till now lodged 212 FIRs of code of conduct violations against various parties with AAP being booked the maximum number of times (61), Congress (56) and BJP (54). Today, the Commission removed 392 boards, 815 posters, 67 banners and 98 hoardings.
