EC: No photographs of politicians on beneficiary cards
'Electricity bills, water bills to be generated after the enforcement of the Code should not contain any photographs of political parties.'

Beneficiary cards distributed to beneficiaries, construction site plaques etc, erected during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct, should not contain photographs or messages of chief ministers, ministers and other political functionaries, Haryana Chief Electoral Officer Shrikant Walgad, said today.
Electricity bills, water bills to be generated after the enforcement of the Code should not contain any photographs or symbols of political parties, Walgad said.
However, no change is required to be made in the photos of political functionaries on beneficiary cards, construction site plaques which are distributed or erected prior to the enforcement of the Code.
The dates for the 90-member Haryana assembly elections are yet to be announced by the ECI.
