Eastern UP next on Rahul's itinerary
After his recent tour of the Bundelkhand region, the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh would be next on Rahul Gandhi’s itinerary.

LUCKNOW: After his recent tour of the Bundelkhand region, the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh would be next on Rahul Gandhi���s itinerary. Though the timing of the visit is yet to be finalised, it is most likely to be a surprise and unannounced tour as Rahul Gandhi had done in the Bundelkhand region recently. The state Congress��� coordination committee meeting is also likely to be held around the time of Rahul Gandhi���s visit.
The UP Congress president Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that the dates for the coordination committee meeting in Allahabad have not been finalised yet, but would be held after the Assembly election in Karnataka, as senior leaders would be occupied in campaigning there.
On the issue of projecting the Gandhi scion as the next Prime Ministerial candidate, she said ���Rahul Gandhi is Prime Ministerial material and the party workers want to see him as the next PM. But the Congress party as per its tradition does not project anybody as the Prime Ministerial candidate in parliamentary elections���.
She said that chief minister Mayawati���s attitude towards Rahul Gandhi���s tour of the Bundelkhand region was deplorable. She said that if some issues of misgovernance were highlighted, the government should have taken it in the right spirit.
