East Delhi MP Sandeep Dikshit describes himself as 'dairy farmer'

NEW DELHI: Describing himself as a social researcher and dairy farmer, sitting East Delhi MP Sandeep Dikshit has declared his net worth as Rs 1.71 crore. His wife, Mona Dikshit's assets are worth almost Rs 66 lakh (as per cost price) and his daughter's Rs 8.66 lakh. The net worth of the MP's assets at market price, however, comes to slightly over Rs 5 crore and that of Mona Dikshit to about Rs 1 crore.

Dikshit's total assets have not seen much change since the 2009 polls when he declared a net worth of Rs 1.81 crore. He has Rs 25,000 cash in hand, while his wife and daughter together have Rs 14,000. Dikshit also has investments and shares in several banks and investment bonds along with many life insurance policies.

He owns two TVS motorcycles, one TVS Scooty, a Mahindra Bolero and one Nissan Micra car apart from two bicycles, of which one is owned by his daughter. Mona Dikshit also lists gold and silver jewellery, pearls, diamonds etc worth approximately Rs 31 lakh. Dikshit has also invested in Sanket Information and Research Agency.

According to his affidavit, he owns agriculture property in Bhopal and residential property in Delhi worth almost Rs 5 crore. There is a 21.3-acre agricultural land near Bhopal priced at Rs 1 crore while his wife owns a 5.8-acre land in the same khasra worth Rs 34 lakh. He owns another five acres of farming land in Bhopal which has a market price of Rs 3 crore and his wife 0.31 acres in the same area which has a market rate of Rs 20 lakh.

The MP also owns two basement properties in Nizamuddin East and Jaipur Estate, priced at Rs 15.26 lakh and almost Rs 36 lakh, respectively. Dikshit and his wife also jointly own a residential property in Bhopal which is priced at Rs 70 lakh as per market rate. His total liabilities are worth about Rs 89 lakh.
