Earthquake: Navy sends special medical team to Nepal

The team, consisting of six doctors and 10 medical assistants, arrived here from Mumbai and will fly to Nepal tonight, officials said.

Earthquake: Navy sends special medical team to Nepal
NEW DELHI: A special 16-member medical team of the Indian Navy will today fly to Nepal to assist the rescue operations in the earthquake-devastated Himalayan nation.

The team, consisting of six doctors and 10 medical assistants, arrived here from Mumbai and will fly to Nepal tonight, officials said.

The Navy, which has three sailors in its ranks who have their families in Nepal, is also facilitating their journey to Kathmandu.
