Earthquake hits Pak, North India

Strong tremors were felt in Pakistan, J&K and parts of North India on Tuesday morning at 09:05 am.


NEW DELHI: Strong tremors were felt in Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir and parts of North India on Tuesday morning at 09:05 am after a strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked Pakistan.

According to Times Now reports, the quake had its epicentre near Hindukush in Afghanistan. Tremors in Srinagar lasted 8 to 10 seconds.

PTI adds from Pakistan: Panic-stricken people rushed out of their houses as the tremor struck, shaking buildings.
Residents said there were at least two tremors.

There was no immediate report of loss of life or damage to property.
