Dutch delegation meets AP minister; mulls biz collaboration

HYDERABAD: A four-member delegation from Netherlands today met Andhra Pradesh IT Minister PonnalaLaxmaiah to explore areas of collaboration with the state's animation and gaming companies under the Indo-Dutch Collaboration programme.

Laxmaiah had led a team representing the animation and gaming industry to Netherlands and met senior officials of Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) in April last year.

He had also requested them to consider funding project proposals for Andhra Pradesh-based Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and animation and gaming companies.

Institute of Electronic Governance, Government of Andhra Pradesh, today also signed an MoU with National Institute for Scientific Research (NOW), Netherlands for promoting SMEs in ICT, animation and gaming, electronics sector.

The agreement would enable domestic ICT, animation, gaming and electronic companies to avail 50 per cent funding for their proposed projects through NWO.
