DUSU polls: Campuses abuzz with excitement on voting day
Excited students lined up in queues, many with their selfie sticks, while policemen dotted the roads of the campuses during polling for DUSU elections.

The campuses were buzz with excitement as students patiently waited for verification of their IDs and exercised their franchise, with many of them, especially freshers, making it sure to get a selfie.
However, the day was not just a photo-op for them, the informed voters had their agendas clear for choosing the candidate accordingly.
Rollback of Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and demands of a compact campus seemed to be on top priority of voters.
Sajal, a first year student of Hindu College said, "I believe that CBCS should be rolled back and hence I have voted for the party which will carry forward the issue. DUSU had played a considerable role in rollback of the Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) as well".
"The issue of compact campus had been raised during the last polls as well but nothing happened. It is very important for security purpose and women safety too. So, I am going to cast my vote accordingly this time," said Rishika Batra, a student of Aditi Mahavidyalya.
Mamata Singh, a first year student of Law Faculty, said, "I have voted over the issue of women security and infrastructure development of the campus. The sky rocketing cut-offs kept so many students away from DU this year and no new colleges have been opened to accommodate more students."
