MUMBAI: Two drunken passengers created a ruckus aboard an AirAsia India Guwahati-Bengaluru flight on Sunday.

"The alleged passengers in question, inconsiderate of flying etiquette, caused much disturbance by not only being extremely loud, but were uncouth in their behavior displayed in causing nuisance to cabin crew as well," the airline said in a statement Tuesday

Upon landing in Bengaluru and after receiving official feedback from the captain and cabin crew, the police was informed and are currently interrogating the two alleged passengers, the airline said in the statement.

Some incidents of unruly passenger behaviour have in the last few months forced airlines to take strict action.

Earlier this month, IndiGo said an unruly passenger on board a Mumbai-Chandigarh flight opened the emergency exit door just after passengers had boarded, leading to a major security breach that led to the injury of one passenger.

The passenger was handed over to the airport security after the planed landed.
