RANCHI: The Governor-designate of Jharkhand Draupadi Murmu will take oath of office on May 18, a Raj Bhavan communique said today.

The oath-taking ceremony would be held at Birsa Mandap at the Raj Bhavan.

The communique also said that the outgoing Governor, Syed Ahmed, will leave for Manipur tomorrow to take over as governor of that state.

A felicitation ceremony has been organised in honour of Ahmed at the residence of Chief Minister Raghubar Das later in the day, an official release said here.
