Don't expect an alliance from the Samajwadi Party rally: Nitish Kumar

Nitish is not in position to attend the SP’s silver jubilee ceremony because of the celebration of Chhatha festival in his own house. JD (U)’s senior leader Sharad Yadav will attend the SP’s function in Lucknow tomorrow.
He was talking to reporters in Patna after visiting different ghats on the bank of river Ganga to review the administration’s preparation for the celebration of Chhatha festival.
On Wednesday evening, SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav called Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, who also heads his party Janata Dal (United), for inviting him (Nitish) to attend his (Mulayam) party’s silver jubilee ceremony in Lucknow. “Chhatha festival would be celebrated at my house and thus, I am not in position to attend the ceremony,” Nitish told reporters. He has congratulated the SP for celebrating its silver jubilee ceremony.
