Doctors in Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) have said that the health minister is doing fine and has been advised to rest for a couple of days.
Dr. Abhijit Sharma, Superintendent, GMCH told the media that Sarma had earlier conversed with doctors via video conference - from the National Health Mission - and informed them that he would come to GMCH, where doctors performed an ultrasound.
“It has been taxing for the body, as Sarma has been working day and night, and may have consumed less water. There is nothing to worry. Once the pain subsides he will be back to work,” Sharma said.
“As drugs are administered we expect the stone to flow out,” he added.
