GUWAHATI: A female doctor lashed out at Union Minister State for Electronics and Information Technology, Culture, and Tourism KJ Alphons Kannanthanam at Imphal airport.

The doctor was scheduled to travel to Patna, her flight got delayed due to VVIP movement in the airport.

The distressed doctor was rushing to Patna to attend a funeral of her close relative. She was accusing the Tourism minister for postponement in the flight.

In a video, the women yelled, “I was supposed to go at 2.45pm. The body will get degraded and smell, I know this for I am a doctor. The body is still there at my home.”

In the video, the minister was seen telling the doctor that the flight will take off. The lady doctor, however, insisted on written assurance which minister said has no authority to do so.

Alphons later said, “I saw a lady in distress and went to talk to her. I informed her that there is a protocol when President is landing no flight can take off. I did not mind that the woman vented the anger on me.”
