DMK submits "corruption list" to Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit
On his part, the Chief Minister on Tuesday hit back at the opposition party leader by saying that there was no scope for corruption in tenders as they were all awarded online.

He said Palaniswami favoured his relatives in providing highway construction contracts and tenders while also charging deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam and ministers S P Velumani, P Thangamani, R Kamaraj, C Vijayabaskar, R B Udhayakumar and D Jayakumar to have amassed wealth disproportionate to their income.
“We met the governor and submitted the detailed complaint with proof of irregularities committed and requested him to initiate action under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018. The governor has promised to look into it and take necessary action,” Stalin said while addressing the media outside Raj Bhavan. “Corruption has been deep rooted in the AIADMK since the demise of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa. This is only part one. We are in the process of collecting more proof for a second part of this list,” Stalin said.
On his part, the Chief Minister on Tuesday hit back at the opposition party leader by saying that there was no scope for corruption in tenders as they were all awarded online.
"All the tenders are e-tenders, where people can apply for tenders from anywhere," he said. "There is no place for mistakes. Mistakes might have happened during the DMK rule but not now."
He went on to level charges of corruption on the DMK and its leaders by calling this a diversion tactic that the party was practising as many of the cases filed against those who were allegedly corrupt during their regime will be up for hearing soon.
This "corruption list" comes after Stalin called Palaniswami a “corruption hero" last week.
"CM Edappadi Palanisamy said that I only give statements and called me ‘statement hero’. I want to give a name to the CM - ‘corruption hero’,” Stalin had said.
