CHENNAI: DMK today staged a walk out in the Tamil Nadu Assembly following denial of permission to raise the issue of enmasse suspension of principal opposition DMDK members for the current session.

Soon after the Question Hour ended, DMK Legislative Party Leader M K Stalin tried to raise the issue, but Speaker P Dhanapal denied him permission.

DMK members persisted with their demand for a while but with the Speaker not heeding, Stalin led his partymen in trooping out of the House.

The DMDK members were suspended on February 19 after they created a ruckus and damaged a portion of the Speaker's podium following an uproar over a remark by their Deputy Leader in the assembly.

Meanwhile, Puthiya Tamizhagam legislator S Krishnasamy was evicted from the House today after he entered into a heated debate with the Speaker over denial of permission to raise some issue.

Krishnasamy stood before the Speaker's chair and tried to make certain comments following which Dhanapal ordered the Marshals to evict him.
