DMK chief M Karunanidhi greets NCP supremo Sharad Pawar on his birthday

CHENNAI: DMK President M Karunanidhi today greeted NCP supremo Sharad Pawar on his 75th birthday and recalled his "remarkable" services as Chief Minister of Maharashtra and as Union Minister in the UPA government.

In a message sent to the veteran politician, Karunanidhi wished him a long life "dedicated to the cause of poor people, especially the downtrodden".

"The remarkable services you have rendered as Chief Minister of Maharashtra and as Union Minister of Agriculture are unforgettable," the DMK patriarch said.

Wishing Pawar all success in his future endeavours, Karunanidhi also asked him to take care of his health.
