Participating in a discussion on a calling attention motion on the drinking water situation in the assembly, CPI(M) MLA K Balabharathy made a sharp remark against a state body, which was expunged by the Speaker.

DMK members immediately were on their feet, hailing the remark and wanted the Speaker to allow it to go on the Assembly Record of Proceedings.

As he declined, the DMK members, led by floor leader M K Stalin staged a walkout, shouting slogans against the Speaker.
